please help, anone.
i have no friends to turn to, im really all alone. i've never seeked treatment for my depression in any form. I believe this is it taking its toll on me finally. I honestly don't know how else to feel other than sad. . . My "family" isn't ever really around, it's very broken...all i can think about is how bad i want death, the end of my line but i don't believe i will act upon anything. This is by far the worst i've ever felt though...
Are you able to access a local behavorial clinic atleast to call for an apt next week to get assessed?
If you could atleast call for next week that would be a start on the right track to start to get you healthy.
Lets use some Distraction skills for the weekend until you can get an appointment.
Is there something in your home you can do to keep your mind busy?
Hello "Will" -
Just so you know - I responded to your other thread.
Besides what I said in that thread - I also provided you with two phone numbers that I would like for you to write down - and I will place them here as well ...
1-800-784-2433 or 1-800-SUICIDE
1-800-273-8255 or 1-800-273-TALK
If you feel this badly right now - please call those numbers and give yourself a chance.
i don't there's enough anymore, i work two jobs, i draw and paint, and also do some skateboarding to keep me busy but i believe whats happening is that i have had suppressed emotions for 10 plus years now and it's all coming out at once, starting to just feel really numb and dead inside. i have no insurance to be able to do either of those, i greatly appreciate the help you're tryin to give me though, just talking to me alone is more than no help at all, i greatly appreciate it. i don't know what's going to happen later tonight though to be completely honest. all i know is that i have work soon and i do plan on going but i dont know how i will be feeling afterward..
Will -
Please try the numbers given by the other poster and as the others have stated stay around good supportive people. You can call 211 from any phone - just like you'd dial 911 and someone there can put you in touch with places, people, etc that can help. Since you have no insuance try to find out about a low cost clinic or other care provider that works on a sliding scale so you can see someone for help - 211 can locate place near you. Don't give up -
Chases
Give the phone numbers a try and see what happens. Maybe they have some excellent suggestions for you that none of us may think of.
Try and stay around people as much as you can today and tonight. Even if they are strangers - it would help you. And stay as active and distracted as you can. Do not let your mind wander - watch a movie or read when the time allows. Even exercise or a walk would help.
I mentioned on the other thread I know the feelings. I also know what you mean about suppressed emotions. I do not have a cure because I am still working on it myself - but it is worth the effort to try.
Will - If you go out after work make sure you surround yourself with good supportive positive people. Don't drink or use It may make everything worse. Please Try to get help. See if you can qualify for assistance so you don't have to worry about paying. Please call your doc and make an apt. You are very important and yes you can get healthy.
